Our Wines

Insieme – Nero d’ Avola no sulphur added

With Insieme, we really set ourselves a challenge.  While our organic practices result in all of our wines having a real purity of expression, we wanted to develop a Nero d’Avola which really is the very essence of Sicily’s premium grape variety.

We therefore set about creating Insieme – a Nero d’Avola made with no added sulphur.  It is in fact how the Greeks and Romans made wine and (as you will find when you taste it!) and it really has a unique, intriguing flavour profile and texture, compared to other wines.  We have without a doubt achieved our goal of creating the purest Sicilian Nero d’Avola – and for anyone interested in wine, it is a must-taste!  We would love to hear what you think – please contact us on info@santatresa.it

Wine Maker’s Tasting Notes

Insieme needs to be tasted to understand it!  It is really quite different.  The fruit flavours are ripe and pure; the style is really attractive, with a unique texture.

Food pairing ideas

Insieme if fairly easy going – it will complement all kinds of meats and tomato-based dishes.  A traditional dish from the Sicilian countryside is pasta with a fresh tomato sauce, topped with bread croutons fried in olive oil and almonds- Insieme would go perfectly!

Today, the Feudo di Santa Tresa estate has around 50 hectares of vineyards. The minute selection of the clones and rootstocks and […]
