We couldn’t have found a better name for her: Joy, by name and by nature. This little white dog radiates happiness in every way!
Joy's first days in Santa Tresa
Joy came to Santa Tresa in September 2024, and it was love at first sight for all of us. Small, undernourished, and suffering, she never stopped seeking affection from everyone, showing immense trust in humans and an incredible will to bounce back.
After taking her to our trusted vet for an initial check-up, it became clear she needed some care to get her back on her feet. Only then could she undergo sterilisation and receive all the necessary vaccinations for her full recovery. Thanks to the dedication of our winemakers and staff, who took turns feeding her and keeping her safe from the dangers of the streets, Joy grew stronger and more vibrant every day.

Her love for cuddles and her joyful runs through the vineyards told us all we needed to know about her zest for life and her deep need to be loved. And we already had an idea of how to help her!
After her sterilisation and full recovery, Joy was ready for a special new beginning. But her adventures weren’t over yet. One day, she accidentally ingested rat poison and fell ill again. Her resilience shone through as she fought with everything she had. After two days in the clinic and several transfusions, she bounced back, healthy and energetic once more.

On 15th November 2024, Joy embarked on a remarkable journey. Thanks to a van relay, she left the Sicilian coast like a true wanderer and arrived in Minerbio, where she was warmly welcomed by Francesca at Tenuta del Mito.

After winning everyone's hearts and making friends with the other guests at the shelter, a big piece of news arrives for Joy just a few weeks before the end of 2024: at last, a family is waiting for her. Christmas worked its magic: Joy now lives happily in the province of Bologna with a wonderful family who showers her with love and affection!
