“O” stands for Orisi, the near-extinct grape variety that Santa Tresa has brought back to life.
The new Terre Siciliane IGT regulations have been published in the Official Gazette, where Orisi has been officially recognised as an approved grape variety. This is a significant breakthrough in the regulations and allows the name Orisi to be included on the label for the first time.
It is from this journey that “O” - Orisi Rosso IGP Bio has been born - an intense, profound, hugely characterful wine - a limited edition.
For us at Santa Tresa, this new designation represents much more than just a regulatory milestone: it’s the culmination of a long journey of research, agronomic vision and winemaking expertise.
